InvisaGig Updates - 09/10/2024

Hey there, InvisaGig users! We’ve got some exciting news to share about the latest software update for your favorite cellular modem. Grab a cup of coffee and let’s dive into what’s new with InvisaGig v1.0.12!

Bug Fixes

First off, let’s talk bugs. Our team has been working hard to eliminate any issues encountered while using and supporting v1.0.10. We’ve fixed problems with connection re-establishment, live signal outputs, and solved a UI access issue when toggling DarkMode that was affecting some users. Plus, we’ve tightened up security and improved compatibility with some older browsers (here’s looking at you, Safari 16.x!). Viewing text messages has been further improved to avoid errors when parsing certain characters as well.

New Features

But wait, there’s more! We’ve not just fixed things; we’ve added some cool new features too. The UI has gotten a makeover with a sleek new browser favicon, streamlined menus, and persistent navigation elements. We’ve even added a “breadcrumb” menu to help you keep track of where you are in the interface. Nice, right?

One of the biggest changes you’ll notice is the improved session handling. No more hunting for that lost browser tab! Now, if you try to start a new session when one’s already open, you’ll get the option to disconnect the existing one. We’ve also added ‘Logoff’ and ‘Disconnect’ options for a cleaner exit.

For all you tech enthusiasts out there, we’ve added a preliminary interface for accessing connection telemetry in JSON format. Just point your browser to ‘http://[IG_IP_ADDRESS]/telemetry/info.json’ and voila, instant info!

We’ve also revamped the ‘Local Tower Search’ feature (formerly known as ‘Local Tower Search & Lock’). It now provides more detailed information about available towers and even includes a nifty status animation during scans.

One of our personal favorite additions is the new ‘User Profiles’ feature. Now you can save all your configuration settings to a named profile, making it super easy to switch between different setups for various carriers or locations. You can even export and import these profiles for backup purposes!

We have also expanded the accessibility options. The ‘DarkMode Toggle’ has evolved into a ‘Visual Accessibility’ menu option, which now includes a ‘Large Text’ option for improved readability.

We’ve also added Tailscale connectivity for remote administration, improved connection resiliency, and even thrown in a ‘Setup Wizard’ to help new users get started.

Roadmap

Looking ahead, we’ve got plans for even more improvements. We’re working on enhancing the telemetry interface, further improving connection uptime, and exploring additional Tailscale capabilities. We’re also planning to add more logging features and implement full dual-SIM support in future product releases.

That’s quite a list, isn’t it? The full change log is available here for easy reference  . We’re always striving to make InvisaGig better for you, our awesome users. So, go ahead and update your software, and let us know what you think of these changes. We can’t wait to hear your feedback! New Firmware working well so far. No issues with it atm. After firmware update had to change apn back to T-mobile home from standard t-mobile apn. Good job, haven’t tried tailscale yet. May never use it but its nice to have.
