Fist off, I apologize if this has been discussed elsewhere, I looked but did not see it.
I have TMHI Business Internet, which is currently working just fine in my IG with Quadlink POE. I am wanting to install the second SIM using one from the ATT Internet Air that I just acquired. I have a couple of questions before one or both carriers lock me out. I am not seeing any way to set two different IMEIs (for now I will switch it to the ATT device since they seem to be a bit more strict.) That is my first question, is there a way to set dual IMEIs that I am not seeing, or does it really even matter?) Secondly, I know that the APNs DO matter, so when set to auto failover, can each carrier’s specific APN be linked to separate User profiles? Lastly, is there no way to EDIT a user profile? If there are existing tutorials on each of theses issues, please direct me to them. Thank you.
Set the InvisaGig up for one SIM, ALL settings , agin ALL Settings (“REPAIR”s, APNs, all of it), needed. Then save that as a user profile. Test it of course before you save it, to be sure it’s working.
Then, setup the InvisaGig for the other SIM, ALL settings again. Test to be sure it works. Save that as another user profile.
Now! You are ready to setup dual SIM failover/failback for both SIMs. Put your SIM cards into the SIM slots, and then setup failover and select the appropriate user profile for the appropriate SIM slot.
When the InvisaGig fails over, it will apply ALL your custom settings that is saved into the user profile, before it tries to connect to the carrier network.
NOTE: You can export these user profiles, and download them back on later BUT super private special REPAIR settings will NOT export. Some settings are only in the profile on the original InvisaGig the user profile is created on. This is obviously for privacy reasons.
You CAN technically edit a user profile, if you export it, as it’s a text file. BUT it’s really faster to just change a setting and save a new user profile with the changed setting(s).
@richard Got it working now. Thank you!! Although, the Internet Air isn’t getting anywhere near decent speeds. Like 80 Mbps, compared to the 300-500 on the TMHI. I may switch the Att one to a phone plan and see if that works better. I am new to the Internet Air so maybe that is a normal speed for that?? My iPhone on Att is pulling 5-600.
Play with the bands and even scan for and lock to bands on different towers on the AT&T Air. Sometimes it’s just the case of that one key band being primary.
Phone plans do, though, have the highest priority on the networks, among all devices.
