AT&T Cell Aggregation

Since getting v1-0-12. or at least coincidently since. I am having issues. Everytime the Primary cell changes I loose connectivity. in the last hour i have lost connectivity 4 times, I go in and the primary cell has changed. I reboot and all is good until the next time. Is that a ATT aggregation issue or a Invisagig issue or perhaps both?

changed primary from 66 to 14 and loses connection inbetween moments later it went back to cell 66 as primary.

more info. does not have the usual IPV4 and IPV6 addresses

What method shows/logs the disconnect? I’m not seeing any issues on my own ATT SIM. I try and run it non stop, though generally in idle for 90% of the time. I get 4 or 5x AG on LTE here on the same bands I believe.

Sorry to hear of the issues. IG updates do not make any changes to baseband so should not be anything related to the update. If the primary cell changes there will always be some type of drop in connectivity (no primary cell = no connection until it connects to a new one) though that is usually temporary once it connects to the new primary.

It sounds like it’s just band hopping or you have a cell that is having issues / undergoing maintenance as you aren’t getting Internet connectivity when it is the primary (why you aren’t seeing any public IPs listed in the Modem Info output). You may want to try removing 66 or 14 (depending on which is causing the problem for you) from the enabled bands list to see if this improves stability.

Let us know if anything changes.

WOW just WOW. moved and am in new tower terratory. got here Sat. Things been doing pretty good, until this AM. Cannot connect to a good band or tower that is stable. Keep getting a horrible connection on a Band 66. I was thinking… I know dangerous… if I find a good tower and lock on will that help me out? if so how do I do it?

So far today, arg. I re-activated my att hotspot M5 and it is working fine. I use the invisagig and it is bouncing all over the place. I will do more testing when my wife is done work. I just want a stable connection, that is all, not asking too much am I? lol

For the lock, simply choose one of the bands in the scan output to lock as primary, and confirm and it will lock in and reboot. If you want to change the lock, go back in and choose a different one to test as the primary band.

As far as jumping around, what do you mean?

I would recommend starting by removing B66 from Enabled Bands to see if stability improves. The B66 you show in the screenshots has pretty awful signal strength so this should help. Cell locking would be fine to try as well but you may lose out on some carrier aggregation.
