A note on AT&T Internet Air InvisaGig connection settings

Just a quick note for Internet Air users.

There are actually 3 different APNs that any one of which may be required to connect.

We default to: broadband and nrbroadband currently, BUT there is also: nrfwbb, nrfwbb-b, and nrfwbb-c. The most popular one lately seems to be nrfwbb-b.

If you have internet Air and the APN isn’t allowing a data connection, try and change just the APN, reboot, and test again.

Do we know what the difference between these are? In the gateway settings for my original AT&T Internet Air modem, I requested a public IPv4 address (disables CGNAT) and this allowed me to forward ports (on both the OG gateway and my GL.iNet GL-X3000). nrfwbb-c seems to revert me back to CGNAT, such that I’m no longer assigned a public IPv4 address. This is helpful because on 5G SA, I’m capped to 30 Mbps download on nrfwbb and nrfwbb-b through my public IP. This doesn’t happen on 5G NSA with any of the three APNs.

I can’t seem to tell a difference between nrfwbb and nrfwbb-b.

Honestly I don’t know either. Some say it works without the dash on all of them. I’ve only had the business internet air, that uses the nrbroadband APN instead of those APNs we have mentioned here.

The static IP APN(s) are different though. My notes have that one as: PSMTNEOFIN

I haven’t had a static public ip assignment on mine though so I can’t verify that either.
